It’s time to start the process of cleaning up the garden. I am cleaning out my vegetable garden to try to avoid disease and pest issues. As for my flower beds, I am just giving them a light cleaning. Many native bees and pollinators will overwinter in stems of perennials. Birds will eat the seed heads from Black-eyed Susan and other flowering plants. So, if anyone judges you're landscape for not looking pristine this fall, just remind them your not being lazy, it’s for the pollinators!
Happy Gardening & Thanksgiving!
